Description
    The GVM family of PMAC electric motors is Parker's solution for electric and hybrid electric powertrain applications.  The GVM utilizes highly engineered magnetics to achieve efficiencies in peak performance regions unobtainable in other designs. The motors incorporate an innovative, patent-pending cooling system that has minimal impact on the size and weight of the motor, yet extracts heat efficiently. The GVM scales in performance across the family yielding the widest performance range available.  It also has been engineered to meet the rugged automotive environmental requirements. As part of the standard offering, the GVM can offer full performance at nearly any bus voltage.

    Key features of the GVM:
    • Peak power density up to 4.2 kW/kg
    • Continuous power density up to 2.3 kW/kg
    • Six rotor lengths
    • Operating voltages available from 24 to 800 VDC
    • Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets allow high temperature operation
    • Highly efficient magnets can provide up to 20% more range for a given battery pack
    • Concentrated windings offers low resistance and lowers losses
    • Patent pending cooling configuration yields very high cooling effectiveness regardless of motor length
    • Meets SAE J1455 Environmental Standards

    With the GVMs scalability, high performance cooling system, and full automotive-grade environmental testing and validation, it can handle the toughest jobs making it a powerful choice for both on- and off-road vehicles.
