    The ETH080 series 'High Force' electric cylinders are rod-style linear actuators that close the gap between pneumatic and hydraulic actuators. They can be mounted into existing fluidpower cylinder applications, adding programmability and the option of closed loop control to the durability and long life expected of pneumatic cylinders. Taking the cost for air into consideration, you will find that in most cases an electromechanical system such as the ETH electric cylinder offers the more economical solution while simultaneously increasing the reliability and controlability of the production process. The ETH080 electric cylinders have dimensions and fixings according to ISO 15552-12, offer thrust forces of up to 25100N and come in defined standard travel lengths between 100 and 1600 mm, but are also configurable in steps of 1 mm. The ETH-series focus on realising an extraordinary force density (force per frame size). The precision ballscrew is the centre piece of the construction - the ETH080 linear actuators offers low friction, an efficiency of up to 90%, smooth operation over the entire speed range and a long service life. Thanks to the high availability of the ballscrew, short lead-times and attractive prices are guaranteed. All ETH-series electric cylinders feature an integrated anti-rotation device as a standard, which simplifies the integration of the cylinder into customer systems. The standard central lubrication port integrated into the cylinder body helps reduce maintenance overhead and downtimes to a minimum.

    The ETH080 cylinder is available with parallel or inline motor configuration - thanks to a variety of mounting options, which can be chosen according to customer requirements, customer may combine the cylinder with many different motors and gearboxes. The range of rod end configurations and mounting options offer the flexibility to integrate the electric cylinder into most customer applications. Available sensors and cables can be directly immersed into a groove in the ETH profile, which is then protected by a cover, this ensures a smooth surface for easy cleaning and safe handling. The ETH080 is offered as standard in IP54 format with galvanised screws, but is also available with stainless steel screws or in full IP65 format with additional coating protecting the cylinder against aggressive chemicals, thus meeting the needs of more demanding environmental conditions. The ETH linear actuators are optionally available with ATEX certification for equipment group II, category 2 in explosive gas atmospheres. In conjunction with the ATEX certified EX-series servo motors, Parker Hannifin offers a complete drive package for such applications. Simplifying product selection and mounting, Parker can also provide a complete drive train, including matching servo drive controllers, motors and gearboxes. All these components can be selected and programmed easily with the easy-to-use Compax3 software-tools.
