Les filtres à carburant séparateurs d'eau Racor Spin-on offrent une protection max des moteurs modernes en éliminant efficacement l'eau, le sable, les impuretés et la rouille. Pompe d'amorçage et réchauffeur de carburant disponibles en option.

Quel que soit le soin apporté à la manipulation de l'essence ou du diesel, la contamination sous forme d'impuretés, de boue ou d'eau du réservoir de carburant est inévitable. Sachant que les moteurs modernes injectent désormais le carburant à plus de 36 000 psi (2 500 bar) et que les tolérances des injecteurs se mesurent en microns, même une petite quantité de saleté ou de corrosion par l'eau peut endommager des composants, réduire le rendement du moteur et, dans les cas les plus sévères, provoquer une panne de l'injecteur.

Les filtres à carburant séparateurs d'eau de la série Racor Spin-on offrent une protection maximale des moteurs diesel et à essence modernes en éliminant efficacement les contaminants (eau, silice, sable, impuretés et rouille) du carburant. La tête de montage et le corps du filtre sont protégés par un revêtement en poudre appliqué par procédé électrostatique afin d'offrir une résistance supérieure à la corrosion. Cette conception unique de filtre Spin-On est facile d'entretien, et le bol collecteur simple et réutilisable, disponible en métal ou en plastique, est équipé d'une purge autoventilée ou d'un bouchon en métal.

Une pompe d'amorçage accessoire est disponible en option pour les modèles de filtres diesel ; elle est en revanche déconseillée pour les modèles à essence. La pompe simplifie l'amorçage et l'entretien en éliminant le fastidieux préremplissage du filtre et le démarrage difficile du moteur. Les modèles diesel sont également proposés avec des réchauffeurs de carburant en option afin de garantir des performances optimales dans les environnements extrêmement froids.

Tous les filtres à carburant séparateurs d'eau de la série Spin-on utilisent le média filtrant Aquabloc® haute performance de Racor, qui repousse l'eau et enlève les contaminants solides du carburant avec un rendement de 98 % de leur seuil de filtration en micron. Pour satisfaire les exigences uniques des moteurs des clients, trois seuils de filtration en micron différents sont disponibles à l'achat, notamment :

30 microns (98 % à 30 microns). Conviennent particulièrement comme préfiltre pour protéger les filtres en aval contre toute contamination excessive. Prolongent la durée de vie des filtres moteur.

10 microns (98 % à 10 microns). Capturent d'autres impuretés que celles de 30 microns et sont plus efficaces contre la pénétration de l'eau. Prolongent la durée de vie de l'ensemble du circuit de carburant.

4 microns (98 % à 4 microns). Assurent l'élimination et la filtration maximales de l'eau, ainsi que la protection de tous les systèmes d'injection modernes, tout en prolongeant la durée de vie des filtres moteur dont l'entretien est fastidieux.

Principe de fonctionnement :

Les filtres à carburant séparateurs d'eau de la série Racor Spin-on utilisent le média filtrant Aquabloc® afin de garantir une rétention maximale des impuretés et de l'eau dans l'essence et le diesel. Le média Aquabloc® est plissé, ondulé et conçu de sorte à offrir un rejet élevé de l'eau et une durée de vie prolongée. Le carburant qui traverse la tête du filtre est dirigé vers le bas des plis verticaux du média, ce qui permet de recueillir les gouttelettes d'eau et les particules les plus grosses directement dans le bol collecteur. Les gouttelettes de plus petite taille convergent et migrent par coalescence sur la surface du média spécialement traité jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient assez grosses pour tomber à leur tour dans le bol. Les particules solides, quant à elles, sont bloquées à la surface du média filtrant Aquabloc®, tandis que les particules les plus fines sont arrêtées au cœur du média. Le carburant fourni à votre moteur est donc sec et propre.

Conseils d'utilisation :

• Les pompes d'amorçage manuel sont déconseillées pour les applications à essence.
• Les filtres à essence utilisés dans un lieu fermé doivent utiliser un bol métallique.
• les bols transparents dans les systèmes à essence sont un moyen d’inspection de routine : Il convient de vérifier régulièrement l’absence de détérioration, de déformation et de décoloration et de remplacer les pièces si nécessaire.
• Les réchauffeurs et les sondes d'eau ne doivent PAS être plongés dans l'essence

Remarques au sujet de la sélection du modèle :

Pour être certain de choisir le filtre de la série Spin-on approprié, procédez comme suit :

1. Choisissez le type de montage (un petit modèle de filtre est disponible en tant qu'unité en ligne).

2. Choisir le type de réchauffeur "temps froid" ou aucun. Les réchauffeurs électriques sont destinés à chauffer le carburant statique comme aide de démarrage et peuvent ne pas fournir suffisamment de carburant pour un fonctionnement à pleine charge. Les filtres avec réchauffeurs peuvent chauffer et fournir du carburant à plein débit pour un fonctionnement à pleine charge. Les réchauffeurs ne doivent PAS être utilisés dans les applications à essence.

3. Choisissez le débit total dans votre système de carburant (l/min ou gal/min)

4. Choisir le matériau du bol; fabrication plastique ou alliage d'aluminium. L’aluminium est destiné à des installations à haute température et à des applications essence, en milieu fermé.

5. Choisir une fonction d'amorçage manuel ou aucune. La pompe d'amorçage de type piston est actionnée manuellement à la verticale comme un piston et n'a pas de diaphragme. La pompe d'amorçage de type bouton est actionnée avec votre paume et utilise un diaphragme.

6. Le cas échéant, choisissez le type de bol : standard ou profond. Les filtres 6120/4120 et 6125/4125 sont identiques en performances, mais les unités 6120/4120 ont des bols profonds de grande capacité. Les filtres 6125/4125 utilisent un bol des séries 400/600.

7. Choisissez le seuil de filtration en micron.

8. Choisissez les dimensions de l'orifice : standard US ou métrique, le cas échéant.

• Élimination des particules solides libérées dans l'air lors du ravitaillement, par exemple, des particules de sable et de silice.
• Prévention des dommages coûteux à l'injecteur et durée de vie utile prolongée des filtres en aval.
• Gains en termes de temps et de coûts en éliminant la maintenance non prévue et l'arrêt non programmé dus à une défaillance des composants du système.
• Le média filtrant Aquabloc® haute performance permet aux constructeurs de moteurs diesel de se conformer aux normes gouvernementales strictes en matière d'émissions.
