The P5T actuator in bore sizes Ø16 to Ø100 is a twin guided non rotating rod cylinder for standard temperature -20°C to +80°C. Available with plain or recirculating bearings and suitable for handling and packaging application.
P5T cylinders with twin guide rods are double acting, with buffer end stop cushioning for quiet and vibration free operation and provide anti-rotate linear motion for moving and positioning of process parts, conveyor and factory automation applications.
The complete range of P5T cylinders with twin guide rods comprise of bores Ø16, Ø20, Ø25, Ø32, Ø40, Ø50, Ø63, Ø80 and Ø100 mm with strokes ranging from 10 to 200 mm. Stainless steel piston rod and guide shafts with a choice of recirculating ball bearing or plain bearing enables the unit to absorb considerable thrust forces and torque. The twin shafts prevent twisting and everything is integrated into an anodised aluminium cylinder housing. The surface-treated steel fixing plate provides robust attachment. The attachment plate and cylinder housing have dowel holes to give exact location during assembly facilitating cylinder and tool replacement. Multiple choice of connections is also a feature, one version has two connections at the rear or two connections from above, selectable by moving the included plugs, and another version with two side connections is also available. As with other Parker cylinders, the cylinder is initially lubricated with a grease that is approved for use in food preparation (USDA). All units have integrated T-grooves for sensors in the body making it quick and easy to install optional non-contact sensors without increasing the installation dimensions of the cylinders. Available in standard temperature -20°C to +80°C but units can also be supplied for high temperature -10°C to +150°C applications.
■ Fixed End Stop Cushioning : polyurethane end stop cushioning built in to the end covers as standard.
■ Clean External Design : the cylinder is designed to avoid pockets or cutouts in the body, in which dirt or fluids can collect. This makes cleaning both simple and easy.
■ Non-Contact Sensing : all cylinders are supplied with a magnetic piston as standard, for non-contact sensing. Optional electronic type sensors and reed switches are available.
■ Plain Bearing or Recirculating Ball Bearings : the P5T is supplied with plain bearings as standard. This type of bearing has guide rods of greater diameter, providing excellent support for heavy loads, especially static loads. Plain bearings are highly tolerant of vibration and dirt, and are suitable for regular cleaning. Recirculating ball bearings are used for applications which require high precision and low friction.

• Position Sensing : 'Drop in' sensors can easily be installed in the recessed grooves located on the side faces, mechanically protecting the sensor that can be located at any position along the piston stroke. Choose between electronic or reed sensors with various cable lengths and 8 mm snap on, M12 threaded or flying lead connection. For applications where installation space is limited, sensors with short installation length and 90 degree cable outlet are available. The high temperature version does not have a magnetic ring in the piston and therefore cannot be used with sensors.

Operating and Environmental Data:
• Operating Medium : For best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
