The Type FB valve is an externally adjustable valve designed primarily for use on small capacity refrigeration applications. This valve may also be applied on residential and small commercial air conditioning and heat pump units. The Type FB valve is available in many variations, and it is primarily sold to original equipment manufacturers (OEM) who order large quantities of a particular specification. The Type FB valve is manufactured to order, and it is not a stock item. Although the thermostatic element is replaceable, it is not recommended to replace internal parts. The ER/EF series valves serve as functional replacements.
