Fluid Port Seals

Parker's Fluid Port Seals are designed to seal in pressurized fluid applications with a variable seal gap between mating components. Overmolding to a rigid insert adds stability and prevents pressure blowout in automatic transmissions.

Product Overview
Description
Newer automatic transmissions have high-pressure fluid port sealing requirements which must bridge a gap between application components and accommodate a wide tolerance range of compressed height. The seals must also be self-retaining in the application bores prior to final assembly.

Parker's Fluid Port Seals were developed and selected for the majority of all fluid port joint locations in recently developed automatic transmissions for the automotive industry. These ethylene acrylic seals successfully completed extensive vehicle testing and bench testing at temperatures ranging from -40C to 148C and pressures up to 365 PSI. Testing duration extended well beyond 2.5 million pressure cycles without any failures or issues.
