Description

Umbrella valves allow flow in one direction and prevent flow in the opposite direction. Umbrella valves typically open when the fluid pressure exceeds a specified range. The valves are easy to assemble and have positive retention with a pull through design. The valve works by utilizing the material properties of the elastomer, the flow area, the seal preload, and the thickness of the elastomer in the umbrella section to control the pressure drop across the valve. Parker can manufacture most customer designed umbrella valves using one of our existing world class elastomer options.
