    PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Parker’s BP profile is a squeeze type, polyurethane cap piston seal for use in medium to heavy duty, bi-directional hydraulic applications.  This seal is primarily designed for linear applications but has been successfully used as a low speed rotary seal.  The standard material for this profile is Resilon® compound P4304D60, a proprietary Parker polyurethane offering higher wear resistance, extrusion resistance, and extended temperature range over 4304 polyurethane, compound P4304D60.  This is a proprietary Parker polyurethane offering higher wear resistance, greater extrusion resistance, and extended temperature range over standard grade polyurethanes.  The Resilon 4304 cap is energized using a resilient nitrile elastomer offering low compression set.

The BP profile’s geometry provides a fluid reservoir between the two sealing lips which holds system fluid, resulting in reduced breakaway and running friction.  Additional features of the BP Profile include:
    • Designed to retrofit o-ring grooves
    • Easy to install
    • Resists rolling and twisting in long stroke applications.

Available in Parker’s proprietary Resilon polyurethane, the BP Profile provides
    • Long life
    • Extrusion resistance
    • Low compression set
    • Shock load resistance, and
    • Excellent sealing performance at zero pressure
