The most basic option of the shuttle valve is to provide a single pneumatic output if either of two separate pneumatic inputs are supplied. Either "OR" of the two inputs will provide a pneumatic output. If pressure is applied to both ports simultaneously, the valve will select the port with the higher pressure.
