Key Pleat® HC - Standard Size Pleated Filters
DEFIANT® Mark80-D® pleated air filters can be utilized in virtually any air handling application, including filter banks, central station air handlers, rooftop units, side access housings, as final filters for systems with MERV 8 requirements or pre-filters in multi-stage systems.
The filters are designed with a consistent pleat shape on predetermined centers, causing dirt to collect evenly over the entire surface of the media. Full utilization of every square inch of media results in a slow, steady rise in resistance for maximum dust-holding capacity. The two-piece frame and integral die-cut cross members provide structural strength and rigidity with double-wall thickness around the outer edge. The die-cut pattern provides 50% more contact points between the media pack and the frame. Four-inch models use die-cut finger separators to stabilize each pleat. Pleat tips of the media pack are bonded to diagonal support members.
DEFIANT® Mark80-D® pleated air filters feature consistent pleat count, height, shape, and spacing which contribute to better performance, lower pressure drop, full-depth dust loading, and longer service life. With moisture-resistant media and construction, the pleats hold together evenly when wet, which prevents delaminating, buckling, and bending. Additionally, the galvanized steel metal grid resists rust, maintains pleat shape, and prevents fluttering.
