Purolator® PAF 11™ extended surface, pleated air filters utilize synthetic media made with continuous hydrophobic fibers that can withstand turbulent, high-velocity conditions. The filters perform to MERV 11 based on ASHRAE Test Standard 52.2-2012 and can be used in single-filter applications or as improved pre-filter substitutes for disposables, permanent metal filters or media pad/frame filters. Industry applications include pre-filtration for hospitals and general health care facilities, as well as food processing, pharmaceutical, and semi-conductor manufacturing plants.
The filters have a heavy-duty structure that features a two-piece, high wet-strength beverage board frame. This, coupled with integral corner flaps, give the PAF 11™ excellent durability and minimizes the likelihood of racking, warping or leaking, which can often cause alternative filter products to prematurely fail, costing users time and money.
The media pack of the PAF 11™ is securely bonded to the periphery of the frame with solvent-free, water-based glue to ensure that dirt-laden air does not bypass into the air handling system. The media’s continuous fiber structure and dual-stage electrostatic enhancement enables capture of very small particles, which makes PAF 11™ a better alternative to filters with conventional glass media. Particle capture is further enhanced by the aerodynamic and semi-tapered design of the pleats.
