The Parker AVR3 Series is a steam heated pressure regulator that is designed to heat and/or vaporize a gas or liquid sample before entering a downstream analyzer system. Its unique design allows the operator to disassemble the regulator and heat transfer components for complete cleaning and repair of the unit, thus reducing replacement costs and downtime. The regulator is highly compact, making it ideal for use in scenarios where space is limited, such as heated boxes and enclosures.
The AVR3’s body is available in 316L Stainless Steel or Hastelloy C-22®, which allows for compatibility with a wide range of inert and hazardous process fluids. Seats are available in PCTFE, PEEK™ or Vespel®, affording the regulator with higher resistance to corrosion, electropolishing, and welding than cast and forged metals. These materials, combined with the convoluted Hastelloy C-22® diaphragm and Inconel® poppet, provide the AVR3 Series with maximum cycle at inlet pressures up to 3,500 psig and exceptional outlet pressure stability with changes in flow.
The AVR3 Series features a unique compression member, which loads the seal to the body without requiring a threaded nozzle or additional seals. The internally threadless design reduces particle entrapment and minimizes the risk of downstream process contamination. All AVR3 Series steam heated pressure regulators are cleaned for O2 service to ensure performance and reliability in high-purity applications where cleanliness is critical.
For an electrically heated version of this pressure regulator, refer to the AVR4 Series.
