Please Note: No longer available - Parker does not recommend the use of P1D-V pneumatic cylinders in any new applications and the information provided on this page is for legacy support purposes. For new applications, plus those previously fulfilled by P1D-V series products, users can now benefit by utilising the new 'P1F-S Series ISO 15552 Smooth Profile Pneumatic Cylinders'. Please contact our applications team for assistance in migrating your application over to the new P1F-series. For further details please see our webpage: http://www.parker.com/pde/p1f-s
The P1D-V in bore sizes Ø32 to Ø125mm is an ISO 15552 / VDMA P1D-S magnetic profile cylinder for standard temperature -20°C to +80°C with the addition of a factory mounted Viking Xtreme valve. With valve product codes P2LAX (for cylinder bores 32-63), P2LBX (for cylinder bores 80-100) and P2LDX (for cylinder bore 125) these are specifically designed for harsh environments but still retains a long service life. With the valve securely fitted to a fixing plate bolted onto the cylinder barrel the P1D-V unit is delivered complete with push-in connections and tube. The valve has built-in silencers (Siflow for speed regulation), and electrically operated versions have solenoid valves (P2E with springloaded manual override) and a cable head with LED and spark dispersion. The supply voltage is 24V for AC as well as DC versions. This UC (Universal Current) is possible because of a built-in rectifier in the cable head, allowing the use of direct current and alternating current for actuation. Offering various piston rod materials, seal options and supported by a full range of ISO mountings the P1D-V series is suitable for wide range of general industrial applications.
■ Fast response:
The large flow capacity of the valve and the short distance between the valve and the cylinder ports mean that the working unit operates quickly (short actuation time and with minimal flow restriction).
■ No maintenance and easy to service:
The working unit is built from standard components. The cylinders and the valves are designed to be used without supplementary lubrication.
■ FPM scraper for high chemical resistance:
For use in applications where chemicals may affect the scraper in the front end cover, an option with a scraper in FPM rubber for better chemical resistance must be used.
■ Dry piston rod, HDPE:
In many applications, but primarily in the food industry, equipment has to be frequently cleaned. This can result in the film of grease on the cylinder piston rod being washed away, which puts special demands on the materials and the design of the piston rod seal system. For these type of "dry rod" operations a specifically designed L-shaped HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) seal system can be used. This self lubricating plastic material together with the design of the scraper ring and piston seal ensures a smooth trouble free movement.
General Technical Data:
• International standards : complies with ISO 15552, ISO 6431, VDMA 24562 and AFNOR installation dimension standards.
• Bore Sizes : Ø32, Ø40, Ø50, Ø63, Ø80, Ø100 and Ø125 mm
• Stroke Length : 5 to 2800mm
• Versions : double acting / double acting with through rod
• Cushioning : adjustable pneumatic
• Position sensing : "Drop in" sensors can easily be installed in the recessed grooves located on three faces mechanically protecting the sensor that can be located at any position along the piston stroke. Choose between electronic or reed sensors with various cable lengths and 8 mm snap on, M12 threaded or flying lead connection.
• Installation : a wide range of cylinder mountings in anodised aluminium providing the same overall corrosion resistance.
• Mounting position : any
Operating and Environmental Data:
• Operating Medium : for best possible service life and trouble-free operation dry, filtered compressed air to ISO 8573-1:2010 quality class 3.4.3 should be used. This specifies a dew point of +3°C for indoor operation (a lower dew point should be selected for minus temperature operation and we recommend the use of an inline dryer) and is in line with the air quality from most standard compressors with a standard filter.
• Operating Pressure : 0.5 to 10 Bar
• Operating Temperature: -15°C to +60°C (standard temperature)
• Pre-lubricated : further lubrication is normally not necessary. If additional lubrication is introduced it must be continued.
• Corrosion Resistance : high resistance to corrosion and chemicals. Materials and surface treatment have been selected for industrial applications where solvents and detergents are frequently used.
